Margaret Ida Steel

Margaret Ida Steel, 95, of Huntsville, AL passed away on December 24, 2017 at Huntsville Hospital. Ms. Steel was born in Brooklyn, NY, to Frederick and Ida Thompson Disher. She later moved to Connecticut and spent most of her life there. Eight years ago, she moved to Huntsville, AL and spent the remaining years there with her daughter. She loved various hobbies including sewing, cross stitching, doing puzzles and baking.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Steel and her son, Robert Steel. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Meyers; son, Herbert (Anna) Steel; grandchildren, Robert Meyers, James Steel and Tammy Steel Healy; and seven great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Lindsey and Savannah Meyers and Conner, Colin, Kayla and Carson Healy. There are no services scheduled at this time.
