Deborah Ikard Lawson

Deborah (Debbie) Ikard Lawson, 65, passed away peacefully after a long illness on September 8th, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

Debbie was born August 26, 1953 in Huntsville, AL and was proceeded in death by her parents James and Estelle Ikard and sister Effie May Ikard. She is survived by her husband Gary Lawson, son and daughter-in-law Travis and Laura Lawson, 2 granddaughters Norah Holland and Charlotte Kyle, sister and brother-in-law Sue and Bob Harness, brother and sister-in-law Dickson and Claudia Ikard and several nieces and nephews.

Debbie graduated from Madison Academy and attended dental hygiene school in Birmingham, AL. She spent many years as a dental hygienist in Huntsville, but her true love were her granddaughters and yorkies.   She loved the beach, reading and growing flowers.

Debbie will be deeply missed though she rests in peace in the arms of her Savior as a treasured wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Debbie’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
