Wayne Kamus

Wayne Kamus, 57, of Madison, AL. passed away November 19, 2018.Captain Wayne Kamus was a 1980 graduate of Huntsville's Butler Hugh School.
He served in the US Army, then worked at Intergraph Federal Systems while earning his BS in Management of Technology.
After earning his APOST certification at Jefferson County, Alabama Sheriff's Office Police Academy, he volunteered with the Morgan County Sheriff's Department. He left Intergraph to accept a position as a police officer in Trinity, Alabama, then came to Madison Police Department in 2001 to continue his law enforcement career.
While with MPD, he earned his MS in law enforcement. He was recently promoted to the rank of Captain and was responsible for Accreditation, Internal Affairs, Training, Recruiting and Community Affairs. He is survived by his wife Lori and a brother and sister.
