Russell Carl Behr

Russell Carl Behr, 77, of Madison, AL passed away at his home on Monday, September 2, 2019.

He was born to the late Carl and Stella Behr on March 25, 1942, in Wyndotte, Michigan. Mr. Behr is a Veteran of the United States Navy where he served on the U.S.S. Coral Sea from 1960 to 1963. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Wayne State University in 1968, and later retired from the Missile Defense industry in 2011.

He is preceded in death by his sister Diane Behr.

He is survived by his sister Anita Znoy, his brothers Edwin Behr, Joe Behr, Tim Behr and Tom Behr, his sons Carl and Paul Behr, and his grandchildren Avery and Alex Behr. His passion was flying Radio Controlled airplanes. 

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, September 6, 2019 from 1:30pm until 4:00pm at the Willowbrook Baptist Church of Huntsville. His ashes will be returned to Michigan where he was born.
