Richard Lee Chandler, Jr.

February 20, 1979 — December 31, 2019

On December 31, 2019, the world lost a precious soul when Mr. Richard (Lee) Chandler, Jr. passed away following a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was born in Mobile, Alabama, moving with his family to various cities to include Birmingham, Alabama, Panama City, Florida and Olympia, Washington. He later became a lifelong resident of Orlando, Florida, and was a 1997 graduate of University High School. He also graduated with an Associate of Arts degree from Valencia Community College. He most recently was a resident of Huntsville, Alabama.
In his youth Lee excelled at Pop Warner football, high school basketball, and playing the trumpet in his high school band. After a brief stint in the Army as a combat engineer where he earned numerous citations to include a marksmanship medal, he held numerous positions throughout his life, eventually holding a job as a Quality Control specialist.
Lee touched many lives over the course of his life. He had a heart as big as his smile. His love for his beloved dog Peanut was unsurpassed as was his friendships with all who knew him. Lee will be greatly missed, but will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
He is survived by his parents Richard Lee Chandler, Sr. and Teresa Lark Chandler, and beloved brother Jonathan Ross Chandler. Uncles Donald Chandler, James Christopher, Thomas Anderson, and Michael Anderson. Aunts Ann Christopher, Barbara Chandler, Michele Anderson, Judy Anderson, Pamela Anderson, and Kristina Carroll, many cousins, girlfriend Corey Yordon, and countless other friends.
He was preceded in death by his cherished Mama Chandler and Grandaddy (Mr. and Mrs. Dennis and Lee Chandler), Mama Andy and Pepaw (Mr. and Mrs. Allen and Francis Anderson), and Uncle Alan (Mr. Dennis Alan Chandler).
There will be a small private memorial in the home of his parents in Huntsville, Alabama on Saturday, January 11th at 2 pm. Another memorial service in Orlando, Florida is set for January 18, 2020 from 12:00 - 2:00PM at the South Seminole Church of Christ.
