Ruth Ann Foster

Ruth Ann Foster, age 98, passed with peace and grace on Monday, March 23, 2020, with her family by her side. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. Foster (2010) and her daughter, Carolyn Patrick (2016).  Ruth is survived by her daughter Kathy Newton and husband Lud; son Larry Foster and wife Marty; son-in-law Randy Patrick; seven grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.  

Ruth and Harry were married in 1942 and spent the next 67 wonderful years in San Antonio, TX raising their children, traveling, playing cards, bowling, and being active members at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church.  In 2017, at 95, she decided to “retire” to Madison, AL where she enjoyed weekend little league games and relaxing in her “woman cave”. 

She will always be remembered as the wonderful, loving mother and grandmother, whose adorable personality touched everyone’s heart.

A celebration of life will be postponed until a later date due to the circumstances of our times.  If you wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Madison, AL, or a charity of your choice.
