Helen Lucille Wilkerson

Lucille Wilkerson loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many passed away March 30, 2020 at the age of 80. Lucille was a charter member of Asbury Church, a Sunday school teacher, and an active member for many years of the United Methodist Women’s Circle.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Donald F. Wilkerson, son Danny (Verna) Wilkerson and son Tim (Peggy) Wilkerson all of Madison, AL. Lucille is survived by 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren: Lisa (Brent) Brock, Bodey Brock of Laramie, WY; Scott (Mallory) Wilkerson, Amelia Wilkerson of Madison, AL; Sara Houston of Madison, AL.

Lucille grew up on a dairy and tobacco farm in Hart County, KY. She loved to travel, read, cross-stitch, grow flowers, and spend time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Thelma Walters and three brothers, Wayne Walters, Bobby Walters and Bennie Walters.

A celebration of life will be held August 16, 2020 at Asbury Church in Madison, AL with Dr. Allen Weatherly and Rev. David Carboni officiating.  Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. and celebration of life following at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made online or mail to Asbury Church 980 Hughes Road Madison, AL 35758 or to the Alzheimer’s Association 8180 Greensboro Drive Suite 400 McLean, VA 22102.
