Doyle Thornton

Doyle Thornton, 70, passed at home, June 30, 2020, after battling several health issues. Doyle was born in Winfield, Alabama.

Moving to Warner Robins, GA his junior year of high school he met his teenage sweetheart, Ginger. They were later married in Clermont, GA. He attended University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, MS with a degree in Music. After many years of directing high school bands, he found his home at Bob Jones High School, Madison, AL. During that time, he received his Master's of Music Education from Auburn University, Auburn, AL. Doyle spent 27 happy years at Bob Jones High School teaching Music and Marching Band. upon retirement in 2015.

Doyle is survived by his wife, Ginger; one son, Robert A Thornton, two granddaughters, Mia and Marlie.
