Joe Rolin

Joe Rolin, 90, of Prospect, Tennessee passed away December 28, 2020. Joe is survived by his wife Deanie Rolin, son Jeff Rolin (Deidra) of Ardmore, Tennessee, daughter Rhonda Slaton of Athens, Alabama, son Lynn Rolin (Bridget) of Prospect, Tennessee, and daughter Cindy Shrader (Jim) of Huntsville, Alabama. Joe is also survived by his grandchildren Dakota Rolin, Tiffini Reed (Troy), Brandon Gates (Angie), Matthew Rolin, Sara Scott (Jonny), Raquel Allen (Jeremy Newman). He is also survived by his loving great grandchildren Cierra Reed, Tucker Reed, Hunter Gates, Brynna Gates, Ella Rolin, Gavin Allen, Ava Newman, and Noah Scott. Joe is also survived by his brother-in-law Paul Van Manen, Sisters-in-law Norene Rolin and Diane Rolin and a host of nieces and nephews.

Joe was the son of Ed Rolin and Mary King Rolin, who preceded him in death. Joe was also preceded in death by sisters Birdie Woodfin, Pauline Jones, Nellie Van Manen, and Marcella Yadack; brothers Ed (Bud) Rolin, Dean Rolin, Bobby Rolin, Stanley Rolin and baby brother William David Rolin; granddaughter Ashley Marie Rolin.

Joe met the love of his life Deanie Rolin while working in Nashville, Tennessee. They were married for 63 years. Joe and Deanie were blessed with four children. Up until the day of his passing Joe would ask Deanie if she had heard from all the kids, if they were okay, and what they were doing.  Joe was a loving husband and father. In his spare time, Joe loved to hunt, fish, and stay busy working with his hands. He owned and operated his plumbing and electrical business in Ardmore for fifty years. He always demonstrated an unbelievable work ethic and provided for his family very well. Joe never met a stranger. He loved to talk to anyone who would talk to him. Joe had a very tender heart and will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Services for Joe will be held at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory (16 Hughes Road, Madison, Alabama 35758) Saturday January 2, 2021. Visitation will be from 11:00am – 1:00pm and service will follow at 1:00pm. Interment will take place at 3:30pm at Pleasant Hill United Methodist church Cemetery in Prospect, Tennessee.
