He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Rebecca Gardner Harless and his son, Parker Harless, both of Madison, AL. His mother-in-law, Bonnie “Booma” Gardner of Alexandria, AL. Leatherwood, Charley Gray, Stephen Blevins, Noah Cohen, and a niece, Sarah Blevins as well as many countless other beloved family members and a plethora (as Mickey would say) of friends.
Mickey worked as a project manager in telephone communications for more than 40 years and he enjoyed his job and cherished his co-workers.
Mickey was very active in music ministry and was an accomplished bass player and guitarist and was a gifted tenor vocalist. He loved to play and sing. He would often say, “Nobody leaves this place without singing the blues”. We will miss his light-hearted spirit.
For memorial contribution, the family has designated:
One Direction Community (ODC)
102 Champion Green Dr.
Madison, AL 35758
Please include “In memory of Mickey” on any donations.
A memorial service is planned for the spring.
