Teresa (Terri) Lynn Walker

March 23, 1965 — February 25, 2021

Terri Lynn Walker, age 55, went home to Jesus on February 25, 2021.  She passed unexpectedly from COVID complications.  Terri was born in 1965 in Plainfield, Indiana, and she graduated from Plainfield High School in 1983.

Terri lived a full life, living in Indiana, Florida, Iowa, and Alabama over the years. She previously worked at Southside Elementary School, Tallahassee Primary Care Associates, MGT of America, Altrua Global Solutions, and Florida State University.  In all of her careers, she made countless friends and touched the lives of so many coworkers. She also loved volunteering in her children’s classrooms as a room mom, and enjoyed being involved in her church.  She was a member at Asbury United Methodist Church in Madison, Alabama.

Terri was someone who spread joy wherever she went- kind, generous, selfless, welcoming, fun, and witty. Her love for others was tangible and impossible to miss.  Although she has a long work history, Terri’s proudest accomplishment was being a wife, mother, and grandmother.  She loved showing off pictures of her grandbabies to everyone she came in contact with, from friends on Facebook to doctors, store employees, or strangers on the street.  She remembered all the small details of her family’s lives, from doctors’ appointments to class parties to big tests, and we could always expect a call asking how it went. She gave everything she had to being the best wife, mom, Gigi, sister, and friend, and she succeeded. To know her was to love her, and we were all so blessed to know her and have her in our lives, though it was for far too short a time.

Terri is preceded in death by her mother, Martha Boesche; her father, Mike Boesche; and her sister, Susan Boesche.

She is survived and will forever be remembered, loved, and honored by her loving husband of 31 years, Tom Walker, and her four greatest blessings- her children: Kristina Roumelis (Justin), Kelsey Walker, Mark Walker (Cayla), and Megan Walker.  She had three grandchildren, William and Ava Roumelis and Quincy Walker, who were the light of her life.  She is also survived by her sisters – Peggy Hammond and Debbie Millet (Kevin) and brother Mike Boesche (Cindy) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services will be held at Legacy Chapel in Madison, Alabama on Monday, March 1st.  The viewing will be from 1PM-3PM and the service will begin at 3PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org in honor of Terri’s mother, Martha.
