John Maurice Reynolds

John Maurice Reynolds, age 87, passed away May 25, 2021, after a long health battle as a result of Covid-19.  He was born on April 23, 1934 and grew up in Laurel, Mississippi.  He received both Bachelor and Masters degrees at Mississippi State University, where he met his wife, Reba White Reynolds.  He is survived by his wife, of 62 years, his children, Charles Hampton Reynolds (Nancy) of Covington, Georgia; Richard Hugh Reynolds of Huntsville, Alabama; Katheron Reynolds Latham (Chad) of Chattanooga, Tennessee.  He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. 

Mr. Reynolds was a physicist for NASA at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville for 30 years.  John was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Madison, AL.  He was a member of Highlands Baptist Church of Huntsville for many years prior. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes, 2681 Rocky Ridge Lane, Birmingham, AL 35216.

There will be a private graveside service for the family.  Arrangements are by Legacy Chapel Funeral Home, Madison, AL.
