Michael A Matala

Michael Matala passed away peacefully at his home September 8, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 13, 1951, in St. Louis, MO, to Anthony and Ailret Matala.  

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sara Matala; sons, Lee Matala (Renee’), and Mathew Matala (Caroline); grandchildren, Luke Matala, Connor Matala, Charlotte Matala and Peyton Matala; sister, Maureen Olsen (Stuart) and brother, Joseph Matala (Linda).  He was preceded in death by his parents. 

A private family memorial service will be held on September 24, 2021 at Alabama National Cemetery.
