Laura Ferguson

Laura G. Ferguson (93) departed this life on September 12, 2021 at her home in Madison, AL.  She was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Ferguson and her son Larry Ferguson.  She is survived in her immediate family by her son Johnny Ferguson, her daughter Sheri Peters, her grandson Craig Ferguson, granddaughter Staci Ferguson Rolff, grandson Paul Peters, grandson Clint Peters, granddaughter Mandy Ferguson Powell, and grandson Shea Ferguson, 18 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.  Laura was born in June 1928 in Wichita Falls, TX, and moved to Marietta, GA at a young age where she spent most of her life, before spending the last few years in Alabama to be close to family.  She was a devoted wife, mother, and minister of God’s word.  She was actively involved in church and leading bible study groups, as well as helped a couple of new start-up churches. The family extends a special thanks to The Terrace of Priceville (AL) Memory Care and Kindred Hospice of Huntsville, AL, for the care and attention they provided.  Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 3rd at 1:00 p.m., followed by A Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m., at Sanctuary Church, Kennesaw, GA, with services conducted by Pastor Larry Ragan.  In lieu of flowers, Laura requested donations be made to one of her favorite organizations, Samaritan’s Purse.
