Donald Wayne Parsons

Donald “Don” Wayne Parsons (Popa) March 12, 1940 - September 27, 2021

Popa was retired but had been employed with Bakers Parts House and was a guard for Thikol on Redstone Arsenal.  Popa loved God and his family. He never found a truck, gun or dog that he did not like. He loved going to yard sales, going fishing and hunting along with being a member of the Tennessee River  Coon Hunters Club Association. 

Don was the son of Robert Aubrey and Margaret Gates Parsons and was born in Harvest, Alabama. Don was the husband to Theda Loraine Parsons of 49 years. He is proceeded in death by his parents as well as his sister Doris Parsons Morris and brother Aubrey Dale Parsons as well as his three infant sons.

Popa was father to Robert Allen Parsons, Donna Parsons Bennett, and Angel Parsons Houck (Trae) and stepfather to Gary Tuck (Carla) and John Tuck (Trina) Popa to Dustin Bennett (Katherine), Rachel Lackey (Cody), Cassie Houck Webb (Conner), Caylie Houck  Mosley (James), Emma Houck, Kennedy Houck, Amber Tuck Gately (Devon), John Douglas Tuck and Mitchel Tuck. Great-Grandfather to Grayson Bennett, Grant Bennett, Hannah Grace Parsons, Johnathan Walter Ray Lackey, Maybella Tuck, Ansleigh Tuck, Carter Tuck, Elizabeth Tuck, along with Lucas Altman and Killian Altman. A host of nieces and nephews and great family friends. 

Don loved denim/ western wear and asked for us to wear this at his funeral.
