Mary Veranda Pace

On the evening of Monday, September 5, 2022, Mary “Veranda” Pace lost her battle with cancer and passed away at the age of 59. Veranda’s vibrant personality was infectious and always brought on spirited conversation and joy.  She graduated with an Industrial Engineering degree from Mississippi State University and immediately shifted into Software Engineering.  She had tremendous drive and determination professionally and personally.  Her boundless love for her children gave her the most joy.  She loved her friends greatly and will be deeply missed by all.

Veranda is survived by her husband, John and her two children, Sarah and Ryan. She is also survived by her mother, Boycie Carter, sister, Christy Carter, and three brothers, Vincent, Jonathan and Darriell Carter. A celebration of her life will be held at the Legacy Chapel Funeral Home, 16 Hughes Road, in Madison, AL on Sept 17^th.  Visitation will be at 1:00pm followed by a service at 2:00pm.
