Artis Leevon Montgomery, born on May 24, 1944, passed away on December 1, 2025, entering a place of peace and eternal rest. Artis was a strong, independent, and deeply loving woman who poured her heart into everyone around her, especially her daughter, Jasmine. Her kindness, steady presence, and warm spirit will forever be remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

Artis lived her life with a deep love for God, finding comfort, strength, and guidance through her faith. She carried that faith into everything she did, offering love, compassion, and encouragement to those around her.

Artis brought joy to those around her in many ways. She adored her grand-cats, Zip and Dash, who always made her smile. She also had a deep love for flowers and found happiness in their beauty. One of her greatest joys was babysitting, where her gentle nature and warm heart shined the brightest.

Artis is preceded in death by her mother Mary Nelson, her brothers Tommy Nelson, Leroy Nelson, and Bobby Nelson, and her sister Mary Chapman.

She is survived by her sister Shirley Agnew, brother Ronnie Nelson and his spouse Priscilla Nelson, daughter Jasmine Nosenzo, her son-in-law Justin Nosenzo, along with her cousins, nieces and nephews and extended family and friends who loved her dearly.

Artis will always be remembered for her strength, independence, generous heart, and the countless ways she supported and uplifted others. Her legacy continues in the lives she touched and the love she gave freely.
