David Hales Mobley, Jr.

David was born in Fort Gaines, Georgia on January 11, 1961. He resided the majority of his life in Madison, Alabama. He attended Bob Jones High School where he met his high school sweetheart, Jan. David and Jan were married for 47 years and had five children and nine grandchildren.

Preceded in Death by his Grandparents Marcellus M. Goodman, Maxine Bruner Goodman, Charlie Mobley Sr., Mary Lucy Culpepper Mobley, Roselyn Plowden Mobley, and his Brother Andrew Dean Mobley. 

David is survived by his Wife Janna Juan Tillery Mobley, his Mother Mary Sue Goodman Mobley, his Father David Hales Mobley Sr, his Brother Chris Goodman Mobley (Kathy), his Children David Nicholas Mobley, Jessalyn Marie Mobley Murphy (Jason), Paul Benjamin Mobley, Christina Jaide Mobley Apperson (Chad), Jenee Leigh Mobley Tyler (Brandon), and his Grandchildren: Cope, Jayce, Ethan, Adam, Skyler, Caleb, Tenli, Hunter, Bailey, Laney and Peyton. Along with his many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews.

David is also survived by all of the children that he had claimed over all the years with his love and dedicated to the community and the Ballfield family.

A Celebration of Life will be held for David at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
