Dr. Debra Gilliam passed away peacefully at her home in Madison, AL surrounded by her family on December 24, 2023 at the age of 67 years old.

She is survived and will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 42 years, Dr. Howard Gilliam; her sons Chad, Scott, Todd, and Blake Gilliam; daughters-in-law Dotty, Catherine, Parmita, and Stephanie Gilliam; her ten grandchildren; her younger sister Pamela Vencill Giles and mother Clara Vencill.

Debra grew up in North Platte, Nebraska and pursued a Medical Technology Degree from Mid Plains College in Nebraska. She obtained her Chiropractic Degree from Life Chiropractic College, Marietta, GA and her Naturopathic Degree at St. Luke University. She practiced as a dedicated and well-respected Doctor of Chiropractic and Naturopathic Medicine serving in the Northern Alabama Community for 41 years. 

She was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, and aunt who will be missed by her family dearly. Debra lived a remarkable life filled with love, compassion, and dedication to her family and community. One of her greatest pleasures in life was traveling with her family and close friends.

In celebration of Dr. Gilliam's life and the immense contributions she made, a celebration of life will be held at the Church of the Highlands (Madison Campus) on December 29, 2023 from 4-6 pm. Friends, colleagues, patients, and loved ones are invited to come together to honor her memory and share stories of heartfelt remembrance.
