Doris Anita Couch

Doris Anita Brewer Couch passed away February 3, 2024 in Madison, Alabama. She was born May 23, 1947, in Milan, Tennessee to Wylia and Marjorie Brewer. She graduated from Milan Highschool in 1965. On January 20, 1968, she married Gerald Couch and they moved to Huntsville, Alabama in 1969. In 1995 she graduated from Athens State University with a double major in Procurement and Project Management and Business Administration. Most of her career was spent working at Avex Electronics (later named Benchmark), where she made many life-long friendships.

She loved her Lord and loved her family dearly. For over 40 years, when in better health, she faithfully attended Wall Highway Baptist Church. The family attended Pineview Baptist Church in Huntsville, Alabama previously and still maintain friendships from Pineview. 

She was Grandma to Scott’s kids, MawMaw to Keith’s kids, and Mimi to Alison’s kids. She loved her grandchildren very much. Doris was a kind soul with a ready smile and welcomed everyone as a friend. Doris was known as a social butterfly with circles and circles of friends. Church friends. Work friends. Senior friends. Bible Study friends. TOPS friends. Red Hat friends. She truly loved people, and everyone loved her.

Her loving husband passed away in 2016. Doris received hospice with her daughter Alison, for a brief time before passing. Her and her husband will both be missed. Doris Couch is survived by her three children, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. As well she leaves behind three sisters and a brother, many nieces and nephews, cousins and her cherished friends.

Son, Scott Couch and his wife Carrie have four children. Riley Couch (27). Hannah Charles (25) and her husband Jason have two children: Scottie and Sunny Charles. Tucker Couch (20) and Georgia Couch (18).

Son, Keith Couch has two children. Jasper Couch (9) and Jonah Couch (9).

Daughter, Alison Couch Lansing and her husband Matthew have three children. Wylie Lansing (12). Titus Lansing (9) and Caroline Lansing (9).
