Freda F. Russell

Freda F. Russell, age 90, of Madison, Alabama, passed away February 26, 2026. She is survived by her sister, Betty Pollitt; stepsons Edward M. Russell, Jr. (Flora) and Monty Russell; stepdaughter Patricia Russell Smothers; nieces Ericka Bellknap (David) and Angeline Miersma (Aaron); nephew Darrell Miller (Tonda); and many more beloved nieces and nephews. Freda is preceded in death by her husband Edward Russell. She served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for the U.S. Army Space and Strategic Missile Defense Command. Freda was a faithful member of Madison Church of the Nazarene for 40 years.

Freda F. Russell’s service will be held on Tuesday March 3, 2026 at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home in Madison, Alabama. Visitation will take place at 12:00 p.m. and her service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Lewis Martin will officiate the service.
