Greg Simpson went with the Lord on April 19, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother who touched the lives of many.
Greg proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. As a Marine, he embodied courage, discipline, and an unwavering sense of duty. His service to his country was a source of great pride, and the values he carried from his time in uniform—honor, resilience, and loyalty—remained with him throughout his life. Enlisting in July 1967, he rose to the rank of Corporal and served his country with honor and dedication.
During his service, Gregory worked as a Motor Vehicle Operator and completed overseas service in Vietnam. In recognition of his commitment and bravery, he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Fire Watch Medal, and earned distinction as a Rifle Sharpshooter. His service reflects courage, discipline, and a deep sense of duty to his country.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Simpson, with whom he shared 31 wonderful years of marriage; his son, Jeremiah Simpson and his wife, Cara Simpson, who are expecting their daughter, Penelope Grace; his daughter, Angela Trippany and her husband, Owen Trippany; and his cherished granddaughter, Kacey Catherine. He was predeceased by his beloved son, Clinton Simpson. Greg also leaves behind his siblings, Terry Simpson, Christy Sample, Cindy Fowler, and Candy Maguire along with extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Greg will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his quiet strength, and the many memories he created with those closest to him. His life was one of service—both to his country and to those he loved—and his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
