Iona Alice Hypes age 99, passed away at home on November 6, 2025. Iona was born in Roanoke, Virginia on May 2, 1926. She is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Delia Crook, her sister Beulah Meador, brothers Jesse, Delmas, Vernon, and Charles, Marvin Hypes (husband), Ronald Hypes (son) and David Hypes (grandson). She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Johnson (Mark), and Linda Hypes, grandsons Steven Hypes, and Zachary Johnson, and granddaughter Ashley Johnson. No services are planned.
