Jeffery Lynn Lewis

Jeffery Lynn “Jeff” Lewis, age 72, passed peacefully at his home, surrounded by family the morning of July 30, 2025. He was born May 29, 1953 in St. Louis, MO to S.E. and Pauline Lewis. He is preceded in death by both his parents and many beloved aunts and uncles.

Jeff was the devoted husband to Kathy Lewis and beloved father of Kristy Lewis-Koch and Pauline Bridges. Jeff took great pride in his role as father-in-law to Stephen Koch and Zachary Bridges. One of the greatest joys of his life were his grandchildren: Olivia and Gabriel Koch; Jackson, Elliott, Emmalyn, and Arlo Bridges. He is also survived by his brother, S.E. Lewis Jr., sister-in-law Gay Lewis, and nephews Evan and Ryan.

Jeff graduated from University of Missouri, Rolla with a degree in Nuclear Engineering in 1976. He went on to have a decades long career at Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant in AL. He found genuine satisfaction from his work and enjoyed sharing his profession with his friends and family. His illustrious career also brought him many lifelong friends whom he found great joy.

Jeff had many hobbies and passions throughout his life. He had a lifelong love of baseball, particularly the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed watching them play live. Jeff enjoyed gardening and took great pride in his well maintained yard of colorful flowers and tropical plants. He had a love of model trains from a young boy. He enjoyed building intricate landscapes and sharing them with friends and family. Jeff had a passion for travel and got to visit multiple countries across three different continents. He shared this passion with his wife, brother, and sister-in-law, and the four of them had many adventures road tripping across the country.

Jeff was a faithful member of Cornerstone Word of Life Church where he served in the Parking Lot Ministry and helped lead the Burning Daylight Fellowship Group.

Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, August 9th at 11:00 am at Cornerstone Word of Life Church in Madison, AL.
