Jerry Raymond Fowler

Jerry Raymond Fowler, 75, of Madison, Alabama passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

Jerry was born on June 18, 1947 to Willis Martin Fowler, Sr. and Mary Inez Cerda Fowler in Yazoo City, Mississippi.

After graduating from Yazoo City High School, Jerry later attended Holmes Junior College and Mississippi State University, College of Engineering, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree.

He retired from the U.S. Government after working for 30 years as an Electrical Engineer. He also had years of experience in hardware and software engineering as well as program management.

Jerry was a quick witted, compassionate, kind-hearted person who loved helping others any chance he could. Jerry enjoyed a variety of music, watching sports, but most of all spending time with his family. Helping raise his granchildren brought him much joy. He was able to turn any negative situation around with humor. He often did so through sickness and health. We will always cherish that quality about him.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Willis "Bill" Fowler, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife Margie McBride Fowler, daughter Keena Casey Fowler of Moraga, CA, son Austin Reed May of Madison, AL, grandchildren Abigail Lauren Lucas of Oakland, CA, Christopher Jonah Lucas of Oakland, CA, Brynleigh Ruth May of Madison, AL, Hazel Wren May of Madison, AL, sister Mary Bell Robertson of Pulaski, MS, and brother Jesse Ray Fowler (Donna) of Shalimar, FL.
