Joseph Carl Prince

A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph Prince will take place on Friday, September 26, 2025 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Madison, AL, where he was a parishioner, with Fr. Bryan Lowe presiding. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Mass will begin at 11 a.m. He will be entombed in a niche at the on site columbarium.

Mr. Prince died on September 18, 2025 at Huntsville Hospital after chronic lung and heart problems. He passed while surrounded by family. He resided in Madison, AL.

Joseph Carl Prince was born on May 2, 1958 in Athens, AL, to Carl Prince and Mabel Ruth Creel. He was a graduate of Athens State College. He worked in many different trades over the years, including education, manufacturing, and delivery. He was a devout Catholic and a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, exhibiting charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mabel.

He is survived by his wife Loretta Sharon Prince, daughter Rose Prince and daughter-in-law Ashley Prince, daughter Lily Williams and son-in-law Nick Williams, daughter Iris Prince, grandchildren Atlas Prince and Shay Prince, brother Charles Prince and sister-in-law Hyacinth Prince, brother Thomas Prince and sister-in-law Karen Prince, sister Barbara Prince Fleace and brother-in-law Timothy Fleace. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
