Lila Mae “Wendy” Kash

Lila Mae "Wendy" Kash was born October 26, 1950 on a house boat in Berwick, Louisiana. She passed peacefully at 7:27 PM in Madison Hospital on August 28, 2024 at the age of 73.

Wendy was a Berwick Highschool Graduate class of 1968, top 10 in her class with a full ride scholarship to LSU school of nursing in New Orleans, LA. She completed one semester, but returned home due to a family illness.

Wendy was a licensed Insurance Agent for multiple years in multiple states. After that she worked at Walmart as a New Store Opening Coordinator for 17 years.

Besides her abundant love for her family, she loved to spend her time cooking, gardening, reading books and learning new things. Reading was the way she discovered that there was more to the world she was born into.

She is preceded in death by her father, Frank Bartholemew Lombas, her mother, Lorena Marie Lodrigue Lombas, her siblings, Frank "Bud" Lombas III, Ella Mae "Minah" Cobbs, Delores "Duttie" Bertrand, Sandra "Nuni" Aucoin.

She is survived by her husband Steven Bruce Kash, married 51 years, her siblings Gary "Pug" Lombas, Lawrence "Titi" Lombas, James "Jimbo" Lombas, her children and their families, Heather Bergsten, (49), Brett Bergsten (59), Neil Bergsten (10), Travis Kash (48), Maria Kash (46), Kelly Kash (23), Levi Hyatt (1), Brooklyn Kash (21), Nate Tuten (22), Alexandria Kash (19), Joshua Kash (17), Harrison Kash (15), Kristi Kash (47), Kiersten Grove (27), Alex Grove (31), Ashton Grove (4), Nolan Grove (3), Michael Maskowitz (23), Erin Howard (44), Caitlin Howard (20), Samuel Howard (9), Sean Kash (36), Sharon Kash (35).

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home from 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. with a Graveside service immediately following at Madison Memory Gardens.
