Mrs. Mary Diane Weber, known to all as Diane, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, after an extended illness, aged 76 years, 5 months.
She was predeceased by her son Ralph J Weber IV and her parents John B Homoelle and Irene Vargo Homoelle. Diane leaves behind her devoted husband of more than 54 years, Ralph J Weber III, her two surviving sons Scott (Julie) Weber and Matthew (Becky Montgomery) Weber, daughter in law Christie Weber, grandchildren Landon, Madeline and Owen. Her sister, Catherine Homoelle Marks and brother, John B Homoelle Jr. with many nieces and nephews.
Diane was a faithful communicant at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where she served as an usher. Her primary occupation was wife and mother. In addition, she worked as a bank teller, bookkeeper and treasurer. She held the family together during 20 years of her husband’s service in the US Army through more than 12 moves including six years in Germany and extended periods where her husband was deployed elsewhere.
Besides her family, Diane’s greatest joy was traveling. Seeing new places and meeting new people. She had traveled to every continent except Antarctica and taken more than 25 cruise vacations.
There will be visitation at St. John the Baptist on Thursday, May 14 from 10 AM to 11 AM with a funeral Mass immediately following. Interment will be at Madison City Cemetery on Friday, May 15 at a time to be announced.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Wounded Warrior Project or the charity of your choice.
