In Loving Memory of Megan Snyder
April 27, 1982 - November 30, 2025
Our beloved, Megan Snyder, went to be with our Lord and Savior on November 30, 2025. Her life, although far too short, was beautiful and full of love! Megan was born in Denver, CO and raised in Sioux City, IA and Ft. Payne, AL by her parents Ed & Jean Stuckey. She was welcomed into heaven by her grandparents, Carl & Gladys Petersen and mother-in-law, Carol Ann Carter.
Megan lived her life sharing her faith and shining the light of Jesus. Her faith in God sustained her throughout life and was a shining example of His love. She faithfully prayed for healing and her prayers were answered time and time again as she has battled cancer over the last seven years. She maintained a positive outlook and kept smiling despite the pain and physical impairments.
She was an incredible educator who shaped many young minds throughout her career, which was highlighted by receiving the prestigious Teacher of the Year award in Callahan, Florida. Megan was a remarkable mother to her three precious children, Ayden, Landon, and Madison. She was a natural mother who loved guiding them through adventures as they discovered the world. Megan was truly one of a kind and touched so many lives with her kindness and caring heart! She had an infectious smile and anyone who knew Megan loved her dearly!
She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, James Snyder, and their children. Married in 2005, Megan and James enjoyed travelling and seeing the country, following James' Navy career across various states. Megan touched the hearts and lives of all she encountered every place they lived and built many deep friendships. They welcomed their first son, Ayden (born 2014), and Megan was a natural as a mother—together she and James completed their loving family with Landon (2016) and their daughter, Madison (2018). As a family, they enjoyed beach vacations, family reunions in Texas, and various sports and activities that come with raising three children!
Megan is survived by her parents, Ed & Jean Stuckey of Ft. Payne, AL and her brother and sister-in-law Jeff & Alora Stuckey of Birmingham, AL.
Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 10:00am at Asbury Church in Madison, AL.
