Michael Roger Poole

Michael Roger Poole, 82, of Madison, Alabama, passed away on December 7, 2025. 

Known as Mike or Roger depending on how you knew him, he was born January 4,1943 in Poplarville, Mississippi, the son of Earl Talmedge and Lorene Sudduth Poole.

He graduated from Poplarville High School in 1961, then went on to Mississippi State University, earning a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1965.

He married Maryland Virgina Humphrey on July 14, 1962. They were married 57 years, until Maryland died on August 17, 2019.

He worked as an engineer for several companies including NASA, SCI, UDS/Motorola, and Avocent.

Over the years, he attended many churches, including Hillsboro Heights Baptist Church, University Baptist Church, Weatherly Heights Baptist Church, Latham Methodist Church, and Trinity Baptist Church. When he passed, his membership was with Asbury Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife Maryland, his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by daughters Paige Miller (Terry) and Christa Ernest (Max), grandchildren Ben Miller, Jenny Miller, Charles Ernest, Damian Ernest, and Rayvn Ernest.

Visitation will be held December 20, 2025, at 1:00 pm. at Trinity Baptist Church at 1088 Hughes Road, Madison, AL. Memorial service follows at 2:00 pm. Private family burial of cremains will occur at a later date in Mississippi.
