Nancy Faye Sturdivant

Following a full life of devotion to her family and church, Nancy Faye (Gifford) Sturdivant passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025 in Madison, Alabama at the age of 84. Nancy was the second born to Rev. Fred Gifford and Jeanette Putman Gifford in Estillfork, Jackson County, Alabama on November 5. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, James “Jim” G. Sturdivant, her children James “Jim” Jr. and Charles (wife Amy), her granddaughters Kendall and Cameron, grandsons Emo and Luca, brother Mickey and sister Shelia Lyle, and generations of beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Patsy Sides and brother David. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered in our hearts as a sweet and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who prepared homegrown and homemade food, gathered family, shared her faith and delighted in the joy of children and serving others. Visitation will be held at noon followed by a memorial service at 1pm on Sunday, November 16th at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home (16 Hughes Road) in Madison.
