Robin Denise Baker

May 5, 1955 — August 19, 2025

Madison

Robin Denise (Williams) Baker, 70, of Madison, Alabama, formerly of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away on August 19, 2025, due to complications following a brief illness. She was born on May 5, 1955, in Lancaster, Ohio, to the late Betty V. and George H. Williams.

Robin is survived by her husband of 50 years and high school sweetheart, Mark S. Baker; her children, Erin (Jason) Ross of Madison, AL, and Eric (Christine) Baker of Reynoldsburg, OH; and her “bonus daughter,” Lyssa (Lucy) Morris of New Lex, Ohio, whom she lovingly raised as her own. She was the proud and adoring Nene to Isabella Victoria, Amelia Elizabeth, William Wallace, and Andrew Thomas of Madison, and Parker Ruth of Gahanna, OH. She also treasured her four bonus grandchildren — Graysen, Jessa, Scarlett, and Gunnar. She is survived by her siblings: George (Gabi) Williams, Mark (Janis) Williams and Shandra Spillman and her in-laws: Bruce (Carol) Baker, Scott (Renee) Baker, Carolyn Readman and Kelly Milliser as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.

A 1973 graduate of Lancaster High School, Robin began her working years in retail but quickly discovered her true calling as a wife, mother, and caregiver. After the birth of her first child, she chose to stay home and dedicate her life to raising her family. Robin poured herself into her role as a mother, teaching her children compassion, resilience, a strong work ethic, and the importance of loving others well.

After her father’s passing, Robin devoted 15 years to caring for her beloved mother until her passing in 2024. Their bond was inseparable and filled with laughter, joy, playful bickering, countless shopping trips, and many simple lunches enjoyed together. Robin was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and neighbor whose warmth touched everyone she encountered.

Beyond all else, Robin’s proudest title was “Nene.” She adored her grandchildren and filled their lives with fun, adventure, and endless love. She created “Camp Nene,” a week-long tradition full of sleepovers, movie outings, pool days, shopping trips, arts and crafts, board games, and outdoor adventures. These cherished memories will live on in her grandchildren’s hearts forever. Her greatest joy was being their Nene, and they adored her just as deeply in return.

Robin will be remembered for her kindness, her servant’s heart, her humor, and her unwavering devotion to her family.

A celebration of Robin’s life will be held on Saturday, August 30th at 10AM at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home, Madison, Al with calling hours immediately before the service from 9:00–10:00 a.m. A light lunch/snacks will be available for family and friends immediately following the celebration of life. A private burial for family and friends unable to attend will take place later in Ohio.
