Sarah Regina Wesley, known affectionately as "Pequeña," passed away on June 28, 2024, in Huntsville, Alabama, at the age of 23. Born on March 6, 2001, in Tacloban City, Visayas, Philippines, she and her twin brother, James, were adopted and moved to Maryland before eventually settling in Huntsville, Alabama, where she attended Lee High School.
Sarah dedicated her life to helping others, both through her work as a Behavioral Health Technician and in her relationships. This was a natural extension of her kind and giving nature. She was known for her stubborn yet compassionate disposition, always putting the needs of people and animals ahead of her own. Sarah's final act of giving saved and improved several lives with her organ donations through the Legacy of Hope and donating much of her long beautiful hair to Locks of Love.
She is survived by her brother, James, and her parents, Ray and Kim Wesley, her ever present little dog, Laila, and many wonderful friends and family, all of whom will miss her deeply. Sarah was a beautiful wildflower that we lost too soon. Please honor Sarah by living a full and compassionate life. Love one another deeply, truly be there for the ones that you love, and consider being an organ donor.
A memorial honoring Sarah's life will be held on July 20, 2024 at the Salt Smokehouse, 1300 Meridian Meridian Street, Huntsville AL, from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Please bring pictures and stories of Sarah to share with her friends and family.
Legacy Chapel Funeral Home in Madison, AL, is assisting the family during this difficult time.
