It is with deep sorrow and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Thomas “Tom” Corley of Madison, who peacefully departed this life on June 12, 2026 at the age of 90. He was born January 2, 1936 in Edgefield County, SC.
Tom was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, respected veteran, and faithful friend whose life was defined by service, kindness, and unwavering dedication to others. He leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A proud Veteran of the United States Air Force, Tom honorably served his country with distinction. Following his military service, he dedicated many years of his professional life to serving the American people through his career with the United States Government at Redstone Arsenal. His strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to duty earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike.
While his accomplishments were many, his greatest joy was always his family. As a husband, he was a source of strength, love, and steadfast support. As a father, he led by example, teaching the values of honesty, compassion, hard work, and respect. As a grandfather, he delighted in sharing his wisdom, stories, laughter, and unconditional love, creating cherished memories that will live on for generations.
To know Tom was to know a man who never hesitated to help someone in need. Family, friends, neighbors, and complete strangers could always count on him. No task was too big, no distance too far, and no hour too inconvenient if someone needed assistance. He lived his life believing that helping others was simply the right thing to do, and he carried that belief throughout his 90 remarkable years.
His warm smile, generous spirit, and genuine concern for others touched countless lives. He made friends wherever he went and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His life was a perfect example of service, humility, and love.
Tom is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara; his children, Amanda and Alison; his beloved grandchild, Brianna (Bree); and siblings Norine and Adeline; and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Preceding him in death were his sister Margaret and brothers Joe, Dick and Jimmy.
Though he will be greatly missed, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on in the family he loved, the friends he cherished, and the many lives he touched through his kindness and selfless service.
At Tom’s request, a simple graveside memorial will be held at 10:30 on June 22, 2026 at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness and service to others in his memory, honoring the way he lived each day—with generosity, compassion, and a warm heart.
"Well done, good and faithful servant."
