Travis Robert Herriges, age 35 of Madison, Alabama, passed away too soon, Monday, September 18, 2023. 

Travis was born December 12, 1987 in Torrance, California to Bev-Ann (nee Frownfelter) and Darrell Herriges, and as a family traveled the country living in various states including Colorado, Alabama, California, and Washington D.C., while his dad served in the United States Air Force. Due to the many relocations this formed a bond and great friendship with his older sister, Audra Joyce. Travis attended Brentsville, Virginia High School and went on to study informational technology, earning 7 certifications, setting records for his number of service jobs and recently was selected to become manager of his team at Milestone Technologies, Inc.

Travis loved making people laugh and always could make anyone laugh and had his family laughing in stitches especially at family dinner. He put people at ease. He had a soft heart for animals and they too for him, they were drawn to him and loved him, especially his parents cats. He liked dinosaurs, reading and watching sci-fi (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Jurassic Park), snowboarding, Green Bay Packers, Halloween and decorating the house for Halloween, and food- he loved his mom’s cooking. 

Travis is survived by his loving parents, Bev-Ann and Darrell; cherished sister, Audra; dear maternal grandfather, Robert Frownfelter; dear paternal grandmother, Joyce (nee Boyd) Roemer; dear paternal aunts and uncles, Kirk (Wendy) of Kewaskum, Debra Helt of Oconomowoc, Kevin of Hartford, Robin Stegen of St. George, Utah, and Sean Roemer of Hartford; dear cousins, Zachary, Amber, Eric, Justin, Ashley, Brooke, and Tyler; dear maternal aunts and uncles, DeeDee (Rit) VanLoon, Denise Marquis, Debbie Mullen; and dear cousins, Brittany and  Bryce Marquis, Garrett (Renee) VanLoon, Jason, Will VanLoon, Kelsee (Stu) Mullen, and Zach Mullen. He is further survived by extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Albert and Sandra (nee Endter) Herriges, and his maternal grandmother, Beverly (nee Bradford) Frownfelter.

Funeral Service honoring Travis’ life will be held Sunday, September 24, 2023, 3:00 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union Street, Hartford, WI 53027 with Rev. James Schleif officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. -3:00 p.m. Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford, WI.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home, 16 Hughes Road, Madison, Alabama 35758.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Travis are appreciated to the Washington County Humane Society (Slinger, WI), Greater Huntsville Humane Society (Huntsville, AL), The Saving Way (His Way Inc.), or to Save the Mantee Club, in care of Bev-Ann and Darrell Herriges.
