Warren Lee Smith 78 of Harvest, AL passed away on December 21, 2023.  He was a dearly loved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.  He is survived by his wife of 57 years Bonnie M. Smith, his daughter Lisa Pinson, son in law Charles Pinson Jr., brother Paul Preston (wife Stacey), brother Steve Smith (wife Debbie), and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father Varon Smith of Sheffield Alabama, Mother Sara Smith of Berkley California. Brother Varon Jr. Smith of Oakland CA, and Brother David Smith of Hendersonville, TN and nephew Chris Smith.

He was a dedicated Army soldier for 38 years as a part of the military intelligence Corps. He served all around the world including Ethiopia, Bangkok, Germany and many states in the USA.  He also served our country in the Vietnam War as part of the US Army Security Agency.  After retiring from the military, he received his BBA in Information Systems from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

He was a devoted family man and a Christian of Asbury church of Madison.  In the church community he found much fellowship and was involved in many missions.  He loved music, college football, his friends, and of course his yellow Toyota Supra. 

To honor his passing, there will be a visitation at Asbury church on January 10th, 2024 at 1:00 pm followed by a service at 2:00 pm.  There will be no grave site service as he will be buried in San Antonio at Fort Sam military cemetery.
