With heavy hearts we announce the passing of William “Don” Beach of Huntsville, Alabama, on February 28, 2026, at the age of 80.
Don was born on August 28, 1945 and lived a life defined by love, loyalty and quiet strength.
He proudly served his country as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War – something he carried with deep honor throughout his life. After his military service, Don dedicated himself to hard work and to the people who mattered most – his family.
He believed in providing, in showing up, and in doing what needed to be done. That steady, dependable nature was simply who he was.
Don found joy in the simple things. He loved fishing, Alabama football, his dogs and especially spending time with his family.
He also looked forward to his trips to Tunica – those little getaways that brought him excitement and stories to tell when he got home. If you knew him you knew he enjoyed life in his own way.
Don loved his people. He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend who made his presence known by steady love. To know him was to know someone genuine and strong – a shining light to those blessed enough to call him theirs.
He is survived by his loving wife: Beverly M. Beach; his brother: Larry Beach of North Carolina; his sons: Toby Beach (Bobbie) of New Market, Alabama and M. Dewayne Beach (Anna) of Huntsville, Alabama; his daughters: Brandy M. Holladay (Whit) of Huntsville, Alabama and Jana R. Beach Barker (Jarrett) of Huntsville, Alabama; 7 grandchildren: Taylor, Guy, Lola, Josiah, Lily, Faith and Carrie; 4 great-grandchildren: Bryson, Chloe, Megan and Charlie Whitson.
Visitation is Friday, March 6, 2026 at The Well Huntsville, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Service to follow with Brother Dub McCain officiating. Burial at Valhalla Memory Gardens following the service.
