William Richard Sell, Jr.

William (Bill) Sell of Madison, AL passed peacefully in his sleep on May 20th at the age of 89 in his home surrounded by his family. Bill was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Mary Jane Scott Sell and William Richard Sell, Sr. Bill was a devoted husband to Shyrl for 56 years and a loving father to Julie Pitkin (Bill) and Ron Sell (Karina). Bill is survived by his sisters Mary Jane McRoberts (Dick), Joann Rimmel (Jim) and brother Ted Sell (Carrie) residing around Beaver, Pennsylvania. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife (Shyrl Packer Sell), and sister Cathy. Bill delighted in his grandchildren Kayla Griffin (Bret), Nathan Sell (Elizabeth), Jessica Hargrove (Davy), Allison Raymond (Matt), and Justin Varnadore.

Bill was co-owner of The Good Life in West Palm Beach, Florida providing sales and installation of electronics before he retired. He was an avid golfer and car enthusiast including selling cars during his life time in the art of pursuing “a good deal”. He was an active member of Asbury Church and has many dear friends in the Sunday school class he attended with his wife.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor at Asbury Church, Bldg 4 in Madison, AL on Saturday, May 31st at 2:30pm. Family will be available for visitation at 2pm and immediately following the service. Final interment will follow in Beaver, PA at a later date.
