With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Zoe Faith Shockney, who peacefully passed away on March 24, 2026. Faith, as she was lovingly known, left the world surrounded by the deep love and comfort of her family in her home.
Born on April 7, 2006, in Huntsville, Alabama, Faith lived a life full of light, joy, and a beautifully free spirit. She had a remarkable way of communicating love - through her bright smile, her contagious laughter, and the warmth she brought to those closest to her. She didn’t need words to be understood; her happiness was felt, her love was known, and her presence was unforgettable.
Faith had a spunky, joyful nature that could lift any room. Her smile and sweet giggles were constant reminders of the simple, pure kind of joy she carried so effortlessly.
Faith is survived by her devoted parents, Charles Robert and Laura Beth Shockney; her loving sister, Gracie Shockney; her cherished grandparents, Mary Mathis, Lois Shockney, and Jeff “CJ” Shockney; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were truly blessed to know and love her. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Olivia Hope Shockney, and her beloved grandfather, Terry Mathis.
A visitation will be held at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home in Madison, Alabama, on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with a service to follow. In honor of Faith, the family kindly invites all who attend to wear purple.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Angelman Syndrome Foundation. https://www.angelman.org/
Though Faith’s time here was far too short, the love she gave so freely will remain with us always. She was, and will always be, a bright light in our lives - our sweet girl, our joy, and our angel. She will be forever missed and forever loved.
